I can't find a .csv or vcard file. How do I export contacts from my computer?
Most email providers allow users to export their contacts as a file that can be imported into another application, such as Bcelebrated.com.
If the export function is not immediately apparent in your email program, try opening the
Contacts section and look for an export option.
If you are working in
Microsoft Outlook or
Gmail, when given a choice of formats, select
Outlook .csv format (not Outlook Express format or Google .csv format).
Yahoo users can
follow the instructions in this link.
AOL users will need to download the software
ePreserver which allows contacts to be exported. You will then have two options:
- Export in .html format, which can be imported directed to Bcelebrated (though names will appear as whatever precedes the @ symbol in the person's email), or
- Send to Microsoft Outlook, from which a .csv file can be exported.
Mac users can export their contacts from the Address Book application as a vCard, which can also be imported to Bcelebrated.
